Questions & Answers
Q: Can I mail my photos and/or video footage to you?
A: Yes; contact us first to make sure that we are currently accepting more
customers and so we will know to expect your package.
Q: How many photos do I need per song?
A: Living Memories generally uses about 11 photos every 1 minute in a
song, which would be 33 photos for a three minute song. If you are also
providing video footage, the length of the footage used would also need to
be added in. If you only have a few number of photos the song can be
shortened.
Q: Can I crop and scan my own photographs and place them on a CD and
send the CD to you instead of the actual photos?
A: Yes. It is safer to place photographs on a CD so that you do not risk any
damage happening to your photos while they are in the mail. Also, anyone
who crops and scans there own photos will receive a 5% discount.
Q: How do I indicate the order of my photos/video footage?
A: Organize your photos in the order that you would like them to appear
on the video. Make sure you number each photo on the back using pencil or
a post it note but do not use a pen or marker because the ink can destroy
other photos that come into contact with it. If you have video footage (on
CD, DVD, or VHS only at this time) write a description of the video clips
you would like on your video and specify what photos you want to place the
clips between. If you have a section of photographs that you would like to
have separated by titles or songs place each section of photos in a separate
envelope with the caption or title you want placed in the video and specify
the song you desire for that section.
Q: How do I indicate the order of my photos if they are on a CD?
A: If your photos are on a disc save or rename them by numbers. For
example, the first picture that you would like to have displayed on your
video should be entitled “one.” If you have a section of photographs that
you would like to have separated by titles or songs give a detailed
description of your preference and send it to Living Memories with the CD.
For example, you could say… “I would like to have the My Girl song
playing during photographs 14-29.”
Q: What about music on my video?
A: Tell Living Memories the songs you want used along with the order you
want to songs to be heard. You can send the music on CDs or Living
Memories can find it for you.
Q: Do you have to use the entire song?
A: Living Memories can cut songs down to fit a group of photos.
Q: What type of graphics do you use?
A: Living Memories has a collection of animated graphics to select from.
Tell Living Memories about your video and what event it will be used for
and Living Memories will choose the most appropriate graphic(s) at no
extra cost just to help spice up the video.
Q: Can Living Memories create my video to look antique?
A: Yes, Living Memories can make your video look antique by giving it a
black and white or faded brown color. Just tell Living Memories that you
want this done to your video on the description you send with your
photographs.
Q: When can I expect my video to be completed?

ahead of you. Place the date that you would like to receive your video,
along with your name and telephone number, in the package of pictures you
send and Living Memories will try to accommodate your desired date.
